Currently, there are banknotes in denominations of 1000, 2000, 5000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, and 100,000 Rupiah. Additionally, there are coins in values of 100, 200, 500, and 1000 Rupiah. While the Indonesian Rupiah may not be a globally mainstream trading currency, the demand for its exchange remains robust in Hong Kong due to the presence of over 160,000 Indonesian residents. Currently, all money changers in Hong Kong facilitate the exchange of Indonesian Rupiah.
